He wrote it because he needed it to exist. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, Darrell was surrounded by hard work and determination but not financial education. He joined the United States Marine Corps, served his country with discipline and commitment, and still found himself struggling financially as a young adult.
Then he attended a Financial Specialist course in the Corps and everything changed. Not because the information was complicated. Because it was so clear and nobody had ever given it to him before. That moment turned Darrell into a lifelong student of financial literacy and mindset, and he has spent every year since helping others close the gap that was closed for him in that room.
Today Darrell is a licensed real estate professional, a landlord, a licensed life and health insurance producer, a College Adjunct Professor, the founder of Right Side of Money and TNT Legacy Shield, and a financial literacy speaker and coach. Everything he teaches comes from something he has personally lived.
